We are back!!

Hellooooo everybody!!! We are back!! What can I say, it was great, great, great!!! Beautiful bungalow, nice weather, goooood and cheap food, nice swimming pool from where you could admire the mountains in the surroundings through the huge windows all around. Nice trips with the bike along the water, nice towns around - we also saw Trier and Koblenz. If you have the opportunity, go without a doubt. Ah yes, and for who is interested, all the hills around are Full, but I mean FUUUULLLL of wine vines!! And there are hundreds of tasting places for the wine!! Unfortunately none of us drink so we can't tell you anything about the wine or beer! But the cola light was good!! Hahahaha!! OK, I will let the pictures talk!

The simplicity of good taste

I was born and raised in Romania where everything is colorful: the interieurs, the language, the temper, the ideas, the humour, the nature! Not Africa style colourful, but flasy enough! In the apartment I lived with my parents it was a whole collection of colours in a million little objects, some useful some "decorative". In our living room red was fighting with black and mosterd-yellow, there was some blue also here and there, then white and natural shades, and...ah, I should not forget some more red!! Bathroom was blue, white and very crowded. In the kitchen you could find red, blue, a little pink, white, beige. My bedroom was mostly turquoise, white, brown, beige, but also a little red, and green. It is not that you could find all these colours on the walls or in the furniture, but the apartments were (are!) so small, and people have so many small, big, medium objects on a square meter, each with its own colour(s), that the vertigo of this Babylonian "decorative creation" MUST affect your brain at some level, in some bad way! Yet, nobody seemed to mind! We were so used with this "style", that in the moment I started to live here, the interiors I visited seemed boring and without personality to me! A lot of natural/neutral colours, a lot of white, and also some strong colours. But the strong colours were not "fighting" with anybody, the way I used to see around me! I learnt to refine my taste, and even though I still love colours, the way I combine them is totally different now. I learned to recognize and appreciate harmony and to rest my eyes when I look around me! Hey West, meet East!

More paintings

Saltarello

Melodia care mi-a inspirat pictura cu acelasi nume!

My paintings

I have been recently on the blog of "The Apple" and...surprise! I found "someone" there who has a very close vision as mine in what regards art, painting to be more specific!

Leapsa!!!

I took it from Copper and I pass it on to Good girls (it is the second, if you look under "leapsa" tag, you will see I passed one before, but you didn't take it!!) and to Un Om

MY FIRST:

Car: Ford Taunus...my parents car
Trip within the borders: Predeal
Trip abroad: Barcelona
Memory: looking in the mirror and seeing a 3 year old girl with piggy tails and holding some artificial flowers in my hands
Pet: Mitzurina, a grey cat who everybody thought it was a "she" till it was proved it was a "he", but we didn't change the name! Great mice hunter (bringing dead birds tribute to the door), a hero!
Crush: Tudor (kindergarden)
Discovery: Hmmm (you hit me here baby!!) So, I was under the walnut tree in our garden (5years old), and moulding something I found on the ground...pretending it is cookies dough - it was a dog shit!!!I discoverd it after...a long time of "playing" with "it", when I realized what was stinking so ! PS - No, I didn't taste Around the same "important discovery date" I made another discovery - if you fill a little syringe with water and then inject it into a spider, this one would not be so happy!! (I was a good child, wasn't I...sweet me!!)
Job: Ahhh, that was the best! It was just after the revolution. Me and my best friend tried to prove our authonomy and abilities to our parents, so we took a job from the newspaper! We were making pre-order for snacks (pufuleti). Every morning it was a little meeting with our boss (who we named between us "the great missouri himslef - insusi marele missouri which was one of my favourite expressions from Tom sawyer, the best book ever, along with : E teapana Huck!!-it's is stiff, Huck that we used in all kind of contexts). We were laughing so badly (with tears and very red face) during these meetings (because of the comments we were making between us about our colleagues-very serious ones-and our boss)that I never understood how we were not kicked out from the room! We worked there for one month. What we got out of that? Looooots of fun (after meetings we were going first home for a brunch and a video movie), then go to all kind of companies and restaurants to sell the "merchandise". We were invited to eat, drink...have a fun chat 5 I told you it was the ideal job!!) We were so good, that we were sent to Satu-Mare and Alba-Iulia, separately, and with a lot of cash money for hotel, transportation, etc. We went together in both places, we made friends with a girl who was a runaway (we gave her money and food (not from our pocket), we bought ourselves cool boots (also not from our pocket), we didn't make too many orders from the clients we were supposed to go, and we came back without any invoices for the money we spent, but we still got our salary!! Best job ever, one of the most beautiful journeys, one of the best memories! What a life, what times!!!
Idol: Nadia Comaneci
Creation: I created a very "avantgarde" haircut when I was 4 years old, that of course I experimented on my own hair, I locked myself in the bedroom. My mother, desperate at the door begging me to open and asking me what I was busy with! Me, answerign it was a suprise. And surprise it was!! I cannot forget the terrified look on my mother face when I came out from the bedroom with a victorious face, and a "new" hairstyle!!!

I hate...!!

No, I didn't wake upon the wrong side of the bed; I have this post in mind for a while now. I am gonna mention only a couple of the things that I hate, or that bother me lately, but the list stays open.
Well, in the several months of blogging and enough blogs that I read, I've noticed a...shall I call it "trend", "wave", "mania"...Maybe trend...So, I have noticed a trend, a psychosis that troubles the minds of the Romanians mostly. Actually, with some rare "Americans" exceptions, I would say that this a feature of Romanians only. And I will (finally!:)) tell you what is about: I read recently a blog (not that I don't want to name it, but I really forgot who has it), where Elena Udrea was coursed like "at the front door of the tent"! She was called names, it was made a whole fuss about her origins, about how she still is a peasant in spite of all the money her husband has, etc. Well, nothing so fantastic till now, everybody knows that Romanians are very political, but what I didn't understand was that this post got 609 reactions!!! 609!!! From people who all didn't like the person in question, and they were going crazy and fanatical approving the ideas of the author, and coursing even more hysterical this Elena woman! Well, I don't know her personally, and I can't say that she has some qualities which would deny the statements of the blog guy, but...SO WHAT?? If you don't like who is leading that country, change them, or go live somewhere else!Somebody please tell me WHY would you make foam around your mouth, mentally masturbating yourself on a stupid blog, maybe even risking a heart attack (by the aggressive way they were talking there)...to show what? To solve what? With what is your life better if you do that? You feel that you actually did something important, or...just something? Can somebody really feel they did something by doing this stupid gesture? Or have the Romanians become so maniac-depressive that they actually need this "loud" , "foam around mouth" form of catharsis to be able to make it through the day?I would say: People!!! Wake up!!! Make your life beautiful, stay connected to reality, surround yourself with beautiful, simple things that can help you keep your balance, and if there is something that you really don't like in your life, take action! I know what it means to live in world of chaos. I begun my journey by being a superficial person who enjoyed the very simple things in life (like we all do at a certain moment of our lives, especially when we are very young), I evolved into someone who cared a lot, and involved into all I could do or change around me, with a dash of sofistication this time, complicating my personality a bit. I bumped my head against all kind of walls, I got a bitter taste from life, and I thought I reached the pick, by being a cinical, ironical, sofisticated, complicated person! And then, my journey took me back to the simple things of life, where the true happiness and harmony are to be found! What is difference between the simple me now, and me who was 16 and simple, is the experience! The experience that made me grow other eyes to look at life with. No, I don't have the key, I didn't find the answer for everything, and I am not in Zen, but my life is a millimeter calmer that those people lives, hearts and mind, and this is worthy every cent! And it is so, because I made it so! So, in one sentence, I hate political blogs, or posts, where everybody makes a lot of fuss about "X" or "Y" but nobody does anything in reality, and they don't even realize how childish and degrading is for themselves to "bark while the caravan passes"! There are, though, exceptions! I know one blog where political posts are actually having a goal, they are aiming somewhere, and the author at least tries to move something! This I appreciate a lot, because by the way he writes his posts, he tries to change mentalities, and this is very important!
And second...(I will make it short, I promise), I hate vulgar blogs!!!! Man, what I could read on some blogs....!!! Far from being a prude, it scared me! And what is very sad, is that there were people who could actually say something if they wanted, because they were far of being stupid! Why would someone do this? Why, instead of trying to be refined, having some high class humour, etc...they would choose to be so incredibly vulgar? They were not even very young to be able to hide behind juvenile hormonal justifying. Because, let's be serious, once you are over 25 let's say, sex, penis, and other ideas like that are not something to be so obsessed about (like it is normal to be as a teenager, where it is more curiosity than obsession), or to show with your finger and laugh behind your hand! But for those guys... a vibrator, a blow job, a trio or I don't know what , they were like....."wow...look what I have done!! I am the man!!! The coolest, just look at me!! "Phew...such infantile behaviour makes me sick! So, again in one sentence: I hate vulgar blogs!! I know you will say that it is their blog, their space and they can do whatever, but...me...I don't understand why someone would insist for the whole world to see how stupid they are!!
The list stays open...

Leapsa

I took it from Joker and pass it on to Dilimache!

A funny story about meeting the folks...Sorry, I don't have, both Pascal's parents are not here any more...And about him meeting mine, it was not funny but full of tears. I hadn't seen my parents three years before the moment I arrived in Bucharest with Pascal and Luca (who was 4 months old). I just remember we were the last to come out from the luggage section of the airport as Luca's buggy was the last to come and my father was desperate and entered that section without being allowed, he grabbed the child and kissed him hard, then both of us. My mother was waiting for us in my apartment. She was crying heavily when she saw us, and said: I cannot believe that you left "one" and you come back "three"! All other meetings with relatives were also with tears...

Bafta!

Spring and flowers

And because I have to walk a lot, and bike a lot...I do that! And while I do that, I take some pictures also.Once I posted a photo of a nice church from Lille. Joker said he liked it, so I promised I would post another photo, of a little church close to my house. I do this now! Also some pictures of some gardens that look springy! The pictures were taken 3 days ago, and meanwhile there is more vegetation, but I am afraid to take more pictures, people might think I am a thief making his plan...so I don't want to have to run with a flying broom behind my back! The forest that you see (or the picture with the trees), it is not actually a forest:there is this path that you can talk while walking on a normal street. That means, you are on the street, and then, at the right/left of you, there is this path for pedestrians and bikes that takes you directly in the middle of nature. It is somehow perpendicular on many streets, it is many kilometers long, and it amazes me how they could keep this part of nature in the middle of the village!!

Music on the radio!

Two songs that I heard yesterday on the radio and that I like a lot!

Leaaaapsaaaa!!

Tu dupa ce tanjesti ? (What are you longing for?)
(When did you say "I love you" last time?) - azi dimineata
Defineste fericirea in 3 cuvinte (define happiness in three words)- Pascal,Luca, health
Cand ai fost ultima oara fericit(a)? (When was the last time you were happy?) - Sunt fericita!
Ce crezi ca te face fericit(a)? (What do you think makes you happy?) - Simplul fapt ca traiesc si ca sunt inconjurata de oameni care ma iubesc si ma ajuta cand mi-e greu!
Cand te-ai gandit ultima oara la fericirea ta? (When did you last think about your happiness?)

Today is the first day of the rest of my life...

Today is the first day of the rest of my life! I know I am not much of a diplomat, and that I don't like to go around the bushes, so...I am just gonna say it: I am not so happy to announce that lately I had some health problems, caused by the huge, enormous number of kilograms that I accumulated during and after my pregnancy, and because I quit smoking. And we are talking 40 kg! If before (when the number was not so high), I was talking discomfort, and a bad aspect, now I talk real threats and real effects that show their ugly face. The process can be reversed if I start a new life today! So, these are the conclusions that were discussed yesterday to the doctor. I still wait for the result of some tests, and hope nothing is so bad. Anyway, for a long time starting today, I will start a battle with everything that meant my daily habits, and build for myself a new life, a new me! It is not gonna be easy, as after I reach the result I want, I must be that kind of person who never lets this happen again! Even if I never met you, even if we meet just in the "air" and we share a virtual reality with roots in our real life, I feel that you care, and this is incredible! Thank you for all your support, I am gonna need it all! Every good thought, any positive word is more than welcome!

My Russian friend

When I decided to come and live here, in Belgium, I had to go to the language school, of course! Ah, what times!! It was the best "school" time ever! We were a special case, as we had to teachers. A female teacher, Sandra, who was the "official one" and a guy who was supposed to learn the teaching art, by assisting her for a month or two. The duo was such a success, we had soooo much fun at school, that the board of directors decided to let the two of them teach for the rest of the year. Among my colleagues were two black guys (Victor and Nilson) who were flirting with EVERY girl in school, a black very sexy girl, Maria, whose tonus and temper were amazing!!She was married with an old guy (one of the black guys told me he saw them at the swimming pool together), and she had two children. She was 25 and the joy for life that only a child can have! Then it was Sabina, an older English woman who sold everything she had in England, after her husband died, to join her son who was married to a Belgian girl. She could never pronounce correctly in Flemish! Her English accent was so strong, that not even with help from a professional she couldn't learn to pronounce well all the words. Otherwise she was very refined, a genuine English lady! We respected her a lot, and she was one of us...you could not feel the age difference even though she imposed herself and you couldn't make bad jokes on her account. Then, it was Petra, the girlfriend in that time (now the wife) of the famous Czech football player David Rozehnal who was playing in that time for Brugge. Utai was a Thai girl married with a Belgian guy (kind of strange, the husband), but she was a girl with a big heart! Of course we were more in the class, but the Muslims were never too eager to make friends with other "religions"!Then, it was US: the formidable trio!! No,no, it was nothing sexual! We were just really good, close friends: it was me (you know me!), it was Vadim, a Russian guy with a very developed sense of humour, and it was Georgeos, a Greek guy who finished the Medicine University in Russia (he was talking good Russian) and now he was trying to legalize his diploma here and get a job! Georgeos was the perfect type of friend, always there for anybody who asked his help, with a dry sense of humour, always optimistic, always with a smile on his face, he loved to travel, and his life was already full of stories, even though he was 3 years younger then me. Vadim was one of a kind. I don't know how he got here, but I know he asked for asylum. He was married and had a boy in Russia. His humour was extremely savorous, he was very faithful to his wife and adored her and their little boy (we all respected that). He was very intelligent, very loyal, also a very good friend, with a big heart, very honest, and with a beautiful soul! Man, what good times we had together,so much fun, so much laughter, and so much support we were giving to each other. We were all going out together (all mentioned above), had our little favourite bar, and I wish those times never ended!! Life wanted that among all the people who ask for asylum here and who mabe are not so honest or finished an university like Vadim, and yet get a positive answer to their request...Vadim got a negative one! In the last evening, we went out together, and Vadim told us the funniest story I ever heard (I laughed almost to suffocation), involving a chalet in the mountains, a bunch of friends and their wives, a hedgehog who:" pardon Georgiana, ate all the food, drank all the milk, and vomited everywhere on the floor!!" And all these, said in English, with the funniest Russian accent possible! I can still hear him in my head, and I laugh right now writing this. He also told us the story of a friend of him who insisted so much to be with his wife when she was giving birth, but then he fainted while watching, got a trauma, and could not have sex to his wife for I don't know how long, as he could not stand to see her..."cat" if you know what I mean ;) anymore...!!
Georgeos could not legalize his diploma here, and left last year to Greece for good. He was my last friend here, from the school time.
Today, I sent an sms to Vadim, and told him about my blog! He promised he will take a look one of these days. I am sooo excited and eager about this, therefore I wrote this post dedicated to all my wonderful colleagues from school!!

Sweet little habits!

And because for a while I have a terrible lack of inspiration (it has been so long since I haven't written an interesting post...have I ever written one? Haha!), and because I feel I should write something, and because I have been talking recently about habits and routine, and because...enough with so much "and because"...(is this what I call being funny? - man, my brain is a smooched pile of...brain!!)What was I saying? Ah, yes, that I wanted to write about habits. Well, the time is ours, meaning really ours (just me and Pascal), is the time from 10.00 pm, till we go to bed. In this time we MUST cuddle in the sofa (I must get massaged), and we must either play on the computer (a certain game called Peggles) or watch "Charmed"! Yes, I know...but this is our routine! This is what gives me that feeling of stability, safety, everlasting, love, security, and it is what I need to get that daily balance I can't work without! I know Peggle is a little childish game, but when we succeed to "master" a level, I get happy, I kiss my lover, we "high and low five" and we feel good! I know Charmed is a simple, naive series, but it relaxes me, and we like to discuss little details from the movie, or to get involved like we watch I don't know what complicated movie! This is for us, that part of the day when we reassure each other by doing this little routine "show"! This is my safety blanket and it really works! What is yours?

Here is the Black Beauty :)

So, we got it! And also new number plates. We are now YYF 312. I like it! Otherwise, I have a terrible migraine...:(

8th of March

Today my love works! And because he couldn't be at home to prepare my breakfast as usually, and because today is the woman's day, and because he loves me so...at 8.30 I heard someone ringing at the door. I didn't want to answer, I was just up, me and Luca, and we were still upstairs brushing the boy's teeth. The ringing was very insistent, so I decided to go down and see what was the big fuss about. A young guy gives me a nice basket filled with breakfast stuff! Mmmm...I enjoyed that! Thank you love! A happy day to all of you!

Musical leapsa

So, you want to know more songs from our love story...!!!Ok :))

All kind of mixed information

I see that spring brings all kind of very positive intentions and actions in our friends' lives. Very good! So, inspired by the nice weather, the good results that I read about on blogs, and also about the important event that is like a month ahead of us (I am talking about Easter), we decided to "move" something also. So, we announce here (very officially), that we start fasting on Monday! In the first week or so, we are just gonna give up meat, and allow ourselves a little cheese from now to then, and after that, only fruit and vegetables. If somebody has a good vegetarian recipe, please feel free to share it with me, I need it! This would be the longest fasting period that we try.
Otherwise, we don't have the car yet, but we will have the birch today. And, yeah, two days ago we took a nice walk in the forest close by and made some beautiful photos that I share with you here. This is it, for the moment.Wish us luck, cause we need it!

L'ete indien

And because I remembered this immortal song, I remembered also a particular night of my life, the night when love was alive, the night when my love was...l'ete indien!I believe that certain moments are so intense, so charged with strong feelings, that they continue to linger on, even after we left that moment. And if we would be able to travel in time, we would find ourselves in the same spot, with our love, anger, or frustration intact. I believe, some feelings, make time stop deceiving and defeating laws of nature, and they continue to live on independent of our will. That night of end of August, kept us there, in Calais, where our beatific love and joy, created an unique space that we try to find and recreate every day! We succeed so seldom...as, alas, moments are unrepeatable!
It was warm, like not many summer nights are here. I could smell the dust and the street. I was wearing a lot of white in that time, so I guess I was glowing in the night. Or maybe the fluorescent light came from my heart so much in love! The joy of being 5 cm away from the loved one, to see his sexy walk, to grab his arm, to put his hand on my face, to kiss his lips...it was like getting drunk very fast! was laughing loud and sharp, he was smiling letting me read love in his eyes! We went to the casino in Calais, and won! Almost 200 euro. We crossed over and had a very late dinner. The simple fact that we could have dinner at midnight with money won for a royal flush at the poker machines, was a reason to be jumping for joy. We drove home. On the road back, in the darkness of the roads, we were listening this song. I could feel love flowing through my veins, invading my brain. It must have overflowed, as I got blinded and dizzy with so much passion.I could feel its vibration in each and every little cell of my body. I was leaning on his shoulder, holding his arm. He was taking sharp curves to have me even closer. My cheek was touching his, my lips were kissing every piece of skin that was smelling Azzaro classic next to me. And all this time...l'ete indien! What I didn't know then, and I found out only after several days, was that...we were three in the car!

Me, the driver...

We got it!

We got the caaaaar!!! After a negotiations to the death, we got the deal! They asked 22 000 euro, which was anyway a very good price for a new car like this one. Well, I negotiated up to 20 000! There, I got stuck!! Imagine I would have liked to get 18 000!! They didn't want to go under 20 000 for nothing in the world. But the Romanian in me...hehe...and after 3 years of being Project Manager at a casino in Bucharest, under Jewish management...I kind of know something about negotiations. I knew that I wouldn't get 18 000, since they explained to me, that this was a firm car, and that they have it in leasing, so they can't decide upon the price alone. But, I still wanted a bit under their price, even though we were dying to have the car. I was acting aloof...Pascal was red in his face a I was way too aloof!! He ran after Luca who was chasing the guy's cat, and then I "cut their macaroni" like we would say in Romania (le-am taiat macaroana), and I said: So...you cannot leave anything under 20 000...? They made big eyes and answered: Ma'am, this car costs new more than 33 000, and it has only 29 000km! It is one year old!!! Me, phlegmatically: yeah, but 20 000 euro is a lot of money...especially with this financial crisis...! Well...it's pity! We really liked the car... Then, I took my jacket simulating I was about to leave (if they hadn't stopped me, I would have called next day to say that I called the bank and I can give them 20 000). Pascal just entered the living room with Luca, and he saw the long faces and he felt the little tension in the air. What happened? he asked me. Well, mister cannot decrease the price, and we cannot pay what he asks, so... Silence, silence, Pascal takes his jacket also (we discussed at home how we would talk and what), then the lady stopped us (women always crack first!) . Wait, I am gonna call the leasing guy, to see if it's OK for 19 500 (the number that I said it is our last price)! So, she called, they agreed, we are happy! That simple! Ah, and the test drive....My Goooooooood!!!! It is quite a very good car (with blue tooth for the phone, the lights turn on automatic when it's getting dark, if it starts to rain the wipers start automatically, etc, etc;etc). Pictures soon!!

Yesterday...

Yesterday was full of perils, as you will find out if you read my comments at the post called "Good news". so, about the car breaking down you will know from there, what you don't know is the part with the restaurant. I know I promised you photos, but it was soooo damn crowded inside, that I didn't want to take any. I did take some outside of the restaurant for you! The food was excellent, the playing ground very, very nice, but all that noise, tables of 10-12 people, or at least 6...where is the crisis?? In the afternoon we took a walk around, and we took some nice photos, just to add some more to the collection. :)

Good news!!

We might change the car, with this!! Oh, yes, it's black and cooool!!

Happy "Martisor"!!

Yesterday we went to the playing ground (also), so here is a little movie (very, very little)!
I was spoiled a lot, as I got a little tree that makes beautiful flowers (they are called "matzishori" in Romanian, I guess), of he is adorable!! Then I got roots of begonia and another flower that I don't know how it is called in Romanian but it is very beautiful. I got a poppy little pant, 10 yellow pansies, and...tatatataaaaaam: a birch!! Not a willow, but a birch!! The birch is gonna come on Friday (can hardly waaaait). Then, surprise, surprise, the first flowers bloomed in the garden! Today, for "Martisor" we go have lunch in a nice little restaurant called "The sunflower". I will bring pictures. I hope it's gonna be good, we've never been there before, but I know they have a nice little play room with soft rubber tiles in case the child is falling. I wish you a beautiful day, feel free to share your plans for today, and enjoooooy!!
